Roland Introduces New HeatSoft Garment Transfer Material
Roland DGA Corp., a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and integrated printer/cutters, has expanded its R-Wear line of custom apparel solutions with HeatSoft, a new, improved heat transfer solution for the apparel decoration market.
The HeatSoft solution combines new ESM-HTM2 heat transfer media with PGM-PTM polyester transfer mask to deliver vibrant color, fine details and superior bonding with cotton and cotton-blend garments. Offered at a very competitive price point, Roland’s new HTM solution has been developed specifically for Roland’s ECO-SOL MAX ink and is supported by Roland VersaCAMM, VersaArt and SOLJET eco-solvent inkjets.
“Backed by Roland-specific media profiles, the HeatSoft solution offers rich, saturated colors, a soft hand and unmatched overall performance, said Andrew Oransky, director of product management for Roland DGA Corp. “It is a great addition to our R-Wear line-up.”
Roland’s newest garment transfer material is a 1.7 mil inkjet coated, synthetic fabric transfer material perfect for high-resolution full-color printing with excellent opacity and white point characteristics. The media can be printed, cut and then transferred to light or dark cotton and cotton blend garments. The new material is designed to conform to complex areas of a garment without altering the garment’s original fit.
The HeatSoft solution also includes a 3 mil polyester transfer mask with specially formulated heat resistant adhesive. The product has low to medium tack and is designed to lift the graphic from its liner without removing the ink from the printed surface. Rigid construction allows the new transfer mask to handle large graphics without any distortion. PGM-PTM transfer film releases with ease for a finished printed and cut appliqué that remains dimensionally intact once the transfer process is completed.
