MONTREAL — The City of Columbia, Mo., was looking for something more engaging and memorable than static signs to educate visitors on the resources the region has to offer as a travel destination for business and leisure. To achieve its goal, the city required a solution that encompassed the latest technology but was simple enough to manage. As the most suitable option, the City of Columbia selected X2O Media's Xpresenter™ Xe, an all-in-one, single-player digital signage system.

For the project, Professional Video Supply, a leading supplier of professional A/V equipment in the Midwest, installed one Xpresenter Xe system each for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau as part of a lobby renovation project and a third system at the Columbia Regional Airport.

Point-and-click content management tools allow day-to-day updates to the on-screen content to be made quickly and easily via a Web-based control screen. Xe includes a number of links to live data sources such as news and local weather to keep content constantly refreshed.
