“Sustainability audits are quickly becoming as important as a company’s price point,” said Michael Robertson, SGIA’s President and CEO.
The program is made up of four steps: Plan, Do, Check, Act, which uses SGIA’s member-exclusive resources to provide a straightforward, effective process of incorporating sustainable initiatives.
Plan: Prepare a simple, customized plan to begin building a Sustainability Management System (SMS)
Do: Implement the elements of your step-by-step SMS.
Check: Verify your SMS for accuracy and outstanding issues.
Act: Resolve any indentified problems or outstanding issues with your SMS.
“The 4-Step Sustainability Action Plan is a new, online product that can help your company easily and profitably become sustainable,” said Marci Kinter, SGIA’s Vice President of Government and Business Information. “It will help you maintain your environmental, health and safety compliance, and prepare you for Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) Partnership certification, if you choose.”
