San Diego, May 8th, 2008: Power Imaging introduced an affordable grand-format low solvent printer, PI 3204FX, to North America market at ISA Sign Expo in Orlando Florida . This printer was originally launched about two years ago outside North America . It is an industrial strength machine made with proven reliability. Unlike other 3.2 meter grand format printers, this printer is priced for the mass market. Key features of this printer include:
- 3.2 meter wide, 4 color printing
- Four 40 pl piezo print heads with 360 dpi natural resolution
- High quality production at 75 ft2 /hour, billboard production speed at 100 ft2 /hour
- Upgradeable to 300 ft2 /hour with 12 more print heads
- Upgradeable to 6 colors
- Automatic media feeding and take-up
- Front and back media heater and front air dryer
- Equipped with Power Imaging’s high density (HD) low-solvent ink
- Print on uncoated flex banner, self-adhesive vinyl, paper, and many other media
Now smaller sign shops can afford to own a piece of big equipment that is typically enjoyed for the big sign shops.
