ISA International Sign Expo Again Named Among the 200 Largest Trade Shows in the Nation

Alexandria, VA The International Sign Association’s International Sign Expo was named to Tradeshow Week magazine’s prestigious “Tradeshow Week 200” list for the sixth consecutive year, jumping three slots to its current ranking as the 103rd largest exposition in the nation. Previously, ISA’s Expo ranked: 106 (2007); 121 (2006); 125 (2005); 132 (2004); and 142 (2003).

“To once again be recognized by Tradeshow Week validates the growth trends we’ve witnessed for the ISA Expo in recent years,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson. “Such high profile recognition is, in a way, a reward for our team both those on staff and our board of directors who work so hard to ensure the International Sign Expo is the number one place to gain information about the sign industry, its products and the way business is conducted,” she said.

ISA Senior Vice President Brian McNamara calls the honor a “tribute to ISA’s exhibitors, attendees and staff.

“Being listed alongside big name events from industries that may be larger than ours helps bring national attention to the breadth and depth of the dynamic sign industry on display each year at the Expo,” said McNamara. “It’s also proof that trade shows continue to play an essential role in the marketplace, in spite of rougher economic times.”

The annual “Tradeshow Week 200” is the culmination of a yearlong process of compiling and analyzing data on nearly 5,000 shows held throughout the U.S., and rankings are based on the net square footage of exhibit space sold.

ISA sold 1,823 exhibit booths representing 566 companies for Expo 2007, which was held in Las Vegas, Nev., the show on which this year’s ranking is based. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent record-breaking ISA International Sign Expo 2008, held March 26-29 in Orlando, Fla.

The 2008 event, which ISA has billed as its “biggest Sign Expo ever,” featured 1,952 booths more than any previous ISA International Sign Expo, including last year’s. To date, more than 80 percent of the show floor space has been reserved for the 2009 event, returning to Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center, in Las, Vegas, Nev. Educational and networking events will take place April 15-18 and the exhibit hall will be open April 16-18.

“Once again, we are thrilled the exhibiting community continues to support ISA and our Expo,” said Anderson. “We look forward to continued growth in the years ahead.”
