Catch SGIA's Last Direct-to-Garment Digital Workshop for 2007 - Popular regional workshop heads to Irvine, California

Fairfax, Virginia -- Time is running out for garment decorators who want, before the end of the year, hands-on training on the latest digital apparel printing technologies within a working production environment.

The SGIA Direct-to-Garment Digital regional workshop -- September 20-21 at the Irvine, California-based headquarters of SGIA member Roland DGA Corp. -- explores the latest digital platforms for apparel printing, including direct-to-garment digital, large-format sublimation equipment and digital heat transfer paper systems.

Students will leave with the knowledge to make sound decisions on:

  • Digital workflow and resource management
  • Costs, pricing and profit analysis
  • Investment levels and cost controls "With so many digital production options out there on the market, it's been tough to get a complete, hands-on perspective until now," said workshop instructor Chris Bernat, Vapor Apparel/SourceSubstrates LLC (Charleston, South Carolina).

"This workshop's format and information delivers value in ways you don't expect," said Bernat, who teaches the class with Mark Collins, Halcyon Digital Corp. (Asheville, North Carolina), Nick Buettner, The Paper Ranch (Oklahoma City), and Johnny Shell, SGIA.

Past attendees said they left the workshop amazed at the amount of information and firsthand experience they received in two days. "The hands-on aspect was a huge advantage, and the information I left with will help me make better strategic decisions for my company," said Thomas Hardy, American Promotional Products (North Charleston, South Carolina).

Garment decorators have just one more workshop in 2007 to learn about digital apparel technologies in a sales-free learning environment. Register for the workshop today at SGIA.org.
