PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SGIA’s Digital Advocate to Speak at Packaging Industry Expo - Dan Marx will show how digital imaging can enhance converting, package printing

Fairfax, Virginia — Dan Marx, SGIA’s Vice President of Markets and Technology, has been tapped as a feature speaker for the upcoming Converting Machinery/Materials Conference and Exposition (Rosemont, Illinois; June 47, 2007).

Marx, who has participated at previous CMM expos, will address digital imaging as part of an in-plant process for the converting and packaging printing industries.

He’ll touch on the profit potential associated with short-run packaging in full color, point-of-purchase and retail displays and how digital imaging can be integrated in an industrial workflow.

“Digital imaging can offer these companies new ways to manufacture their products and enter new markets, especially in a big-box environment where packaging often is expected to advertise the product,” Marx said.

Keith Hevenor, Editorial and Conference Director for CMM International, chose Marx for his expert insight into digital imaging as it relates to display production.

“This is an area of larger interest for our attendees, who see the next step to packaging production as the promotion of the product,” Hevenor said. “We look forward to having Dan back to educate our members on this growing area of opportunity.”

Learn more about Marx’s presentation, “POP Displays: Digital Production Opens New Doors,” at CMM International on its Web site at www.cmmshow.com. The show is conducted by PennWell Corp.
