Record Breaking Ad Council Support
Support of Ad Council PSA programs by the outdoor industry increased an impressive 33% overall compared to the previous year. These figures include only OAAA member support.
Tim Davis, the Ad Council Executive Vice President for Media, remarked, “We're thrilled! Public service is an important element of the outdoor advertising industry because it presents a way to give back to the community. For more than 100 years, the outdoor advertising industry has established a tradition of serving the public in local districts and nationwide.
This year, OAAA and the Ad Council is designing a greater form of outreach to members, using the Public Service section of the OAAA website and informative emails providing up-to-date campaign details. Nancy Fletcher, president and CEO of OAAA stated, “Exciting new campaigns are constantly surfacing from the Ad Council. OAAA is proud to continue the longstanding partnership with the Ad Council—an organization that is dedicated to creating positive social change.”
The OAAA is the largest trade association representing the outdoor advertising industry. It is dedicated to leading and uniting a responsible outdoor advertising industry that is committed to serving the needs of consumers, advertisers and the public. OAAA’s nearly 1,000 member companies generate $6.8 billion annually in ad revenues, represent more than 90% of industry income, and donate space to charitable organizations in excess of $390 million each year.
