SGIA Workshop Announcement

SGIA Holds Encore for Direct to Garment Digital Workshop

Upcoming course offers lucrative ways to fit digital technology in apparel shops

Fairfax, Virginia — SGIA is taking its hugely successful workshop “Direct to Garment Digital” (December 45, 2006) on the road to Charleston, South Carolina.

The two-day program — a sold-out hit last time at the SGIA Digital Lab in Fairfax — is the best introduction to direct-to-garment digital technologies, providing attendees with a sales-free, learning environment that features experienced garment printing veterans.

“We cut through the red tape to help garment printers understand what will work for them and the capabilities of equipment currently available,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President for Technical Services.

Shell, Mark Collins (Earthtone Graphics Inc.) and Chris Bernat (SourceSubstrates LLC) will describe the latest digital technologies and proven business models for garment decorators considering direct-to-garment digital equipment.

The workshop also delves into the technology’s uses — from dye sublimation to white ink on black garments — and how those features can help improve a shop’s profit margins.

“Attendees are going to leave this program feeling more comfortable about their options with this technology,” Shell said. Visit SGIA.org to register and find out more information on the workshop.
