Matan Innovations at Fespa Digital Printing Europe 2006
Amsterdam, Netherlands at Fespa Digital Printing 2006, Matan Digital Printers will launch the Matan Spot36, its newest printer for wayfinding & traffic signage and windows graphics. Matan will also present its new SpotBoard technology as implemented on the Matan SpringPro. Matan will hold a press conference at its stand C725 on Tuesday, May 16th at 10:30.
The Matan stand C725 in Hall 8 will feature two printers representing the Matan Thermal Transfer product line for on-demand digital production in a wide range of applications:
The new Matan Spot36 digital printer is in fact a wider format implementation of the best features and qualities of the Matan Spring. It is equipped with innovative durable print heads, which enable miles of non-stop quality printing at a high speed. The Matan Spot36 shares the same industrial design of the Matan Spring and is equally robust, while maintaining an attractive contemporary high-tech look. It can print up to two colors in one pass in up to 400x1200 resolution. Media width is up to 930 mm and printing width is up to 924 mm. Ribbons for this printer include a wide spectrum of spots, special traffic red, blue and green, shiny metallic gold and silver, etched and opaque white. The Matan Spot36 supports a wide range of media, including reflective traffic media.
The Matan SpringPro offers a resolution of up to 400x1600 DPI at up to 274 linear meters per hour with an extensive color gamut. Other advanced features include variable data, such as numbering and bar-coding.
Both printers utilize Matan's new SpotBoard technology. This new electronic board provides significant benefits to Matan's Thermal Transfer line. It maximizes the print quality of spot colors and combinations of process colors and spots by enabling individual control over the energy levels of each printing station separately. Secondly, the SpotBoard offers automatic energy leveling compensation across the width of the print, enhancing print quality for uniform areas. The SpotBoard uses USB2 communication between the printer and the computer, offering maximum flexibility and eliminating the need for a dedicated PC for the printer.
"Matan is continually developing and improving its product line", says Hanan Yosefi, Matan's President and CEO. "Stay tuned for our upcoming innovations in other technologies as well".
