Roland Establishes New Industrial Products Team

Irvine, CA ­ Roland DGA Corporation, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and integrated print/cutters, has announced the formation of a new Industrial Products Team to support distribution and marketing for the company’s 104”-wide AdvancedJET AJ-1000 industrial grand format printer.

Under the direction of Joe Dawson, industrial products manager, the new team will work closely with Roland’s authorized AJ-1000 resellers to target the industrial inkjet market, focusing on large print-for-pay shops and others involved in high-volume production of outdoor durable graphics.

“The AJ-1000 is the fastest inkjet printer in its class and our most robust grand-format printer to date with unique sales, marketing and support requirements,” said Brian McLeod, managing director for Roland’s Color Products Division. “The new Industrial Products Team will focus its resources on the AJ-1000 to capitalize on its strong market position. Roland’s AdvancedJET AJ-1000 Industrial Grand Format Printer The AJ-1000 also features an easy-to-use automated intelligent maintenance system which keeps print heads performing optimally by automatically performing daily routine maintenance tasks. As a result, manual cleanings are required only every two weeks.

In addition, the AJ-1000 features high-capacity 1 liter ink cartridges for seamless unattended printing, an advanced ink delivery system that allows replacement of cartridges without pausing, and a robust media handling system for rolls weighing up to 220 pounds.
