DUPONT LAUNCHES THE NEW CROMALIN® BLUE DIGITAL PROOFING SYSTEM AT IPEX 2006

Birmingham, U.K. - ­After a very successful three month beta period with many installations in Europe and North America, customers confirmed the quality and reliability of the new Cromalin® blue. The Cromalin® blue is now officially selling commercially.

Driven by DuPont™ Cromanet™ color management software, the DuPont™ Cromalin® blue series of inkjet proofing systems produces premium contract-quality proofs using DuPont™ eight color ink and speciality proofing media. The total package has been designed specifically to address the needs of the high-end proofing market, where repeatable quality is paramount and non-negotiable, but which is nevertheless experiencing the industry-wide pressures to reduce costs and production time.

The Cromalin® blue system features all new high resolution print head technology, a new double speed print mode, and new Cromanet™ color management tools to please the most critical color applications. The system continues to include an embedded spectrophotometer for automatic spectral calibration and color proof verification, the proof server hardware and software, along with full installation, training, and excellent DuPont support.
