DISTEC GmbH Intent to Locate New Production Facility in Shanghai-China.

DISTEC is the first European Outdoor Advertising Products company to announce the opening of production facility on Chinese Mainland.

SHANGHAI, CHINA - DISTEC GmbH announced today that its board of directors has approved funding for the establishment of a new production facility, to be located in the People’s Republic of China. Several possible locations for the facility were discussed and considered throughout the 2005, throughout the January 2006 first visit into Shanghai, the CEO along with the remaining Board members of DISTEC GmbH decided that Shanghai will be the best city for new production facility of new Incorporation of DISTEC GmbH as DISTEC Shanghai.

With this news, DISTEC GmbH will become the first European manufacturer and supplier of Scrolling and Out-of-Home Media products for Chinas market as a furthering step into Global expension of DISTEC Corporation.

Commenting on today’s announcement DISTEC’s CEO,Mr. Michael Schoening stated, “DISTEC is fully committed to the Outdoor advertising industry in China and to growing with our customers in this important region of the world market. The Chinese Government has included the outdoor advertising industry in its future plan, this estimating palning will create new opportunities and continued steady growth.”

According to industry analysts and Distec’s own market analysis the volume of Scrolling Outdoor Advertising Systems along with Distec’s ISO quality products grew approximately 45 percent worldwide and 18% Chinas mainland in 2005.
