New members join FASTSIGNS® NAC board
FASTSIGNS® Sign and Graphics Center Owners Elected to FASTSIGNS® National Advertising Council Board for 2006-2007
CARROLLTON, Texas - The owners of FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics centers in Lawrenceville, N.J.; Burlington, Ontario; Asheville, N.C.; and Englewood, Colo. have been elected by other FASTSIGNS® center owners to each serve a two-year term on the National Advertising Council (NAC) board of FASTSIGNS International, Inc., an international sign and graphics franchisor.
Bill Belmont of Lawrenceville represents FASTSIGNS® franchisees in the Northeastern U.S.; Frank Kent of Burlington, Ontario is the Canadian board member; John Mark Stroud from Asheville is the Southeastern U.S. representative and Matt Metcalf, owner of the Englewood center as well as a FASTSIGNS® center in Lakewood, Colo., represents owners in the Southwest. Belmont was elected for the first time, while Kent is serving on the NAC board again after previously being a board member from 2000 - 2004. Stroud and Metcalf were each re-elected to a second two-year term on the board. Belmont, Kent, Stroud and Metcalf join Shane Beard of Naperville, Ill., who represents owners in the Midwestern U.S., and West Coast representative Dave Skromme of San Mateo, Calif.
The six board members work with FASTSIGNS International on marketing and advertising issues for the more than 420 FASTSIGNS® centers in the United States and Canada.
Belmont has owned the Lawrenceville FASTSIGNS® center with his wife, Joan, since January 1999, while Kent and his wife, Mary, opened the Burlington FASTSIGNS® center in 1996. In Asheville, Stroud and his wife, Cindy, have been FASTSIGNS® owners since 1995. Metcalf has owned the Englewood center since 1997, and the Lakewood location since 2001.
“Our new and returning board members are very committed to the FASTSIGNS® network,” said Drue Townsend, senior vice president of marketing for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “They all know the importance of a strong marketing program and are knowledgeable about a wide range of marketing concepts. We know that they will make significant contributions to our system.”
The terms of NAC board members rotate so that each year, some board members are new while others continue. Representatives may serve two consecutive two-year terms, and can be re-elected after a two-year absence.
